THE HAGUE CONVERSATIONS ON THE FUTURE OF EUROPE IN THE WORLD

In the lead-up to the Conference on the Future of Europe (April 2021–May 2022), a citizen-led initiative by the EU, I played a central role in The Hague’s contribution to this process, while working with the LINKS Europe Foundation in collaboration with The Municipality of The Hague and The Hague Humanity Hub.

This initiative brought together hundreds of citizens from The Hague’s diverse international ecosystem—including diplomats, policymakers, NGOs, think tanks, and educational institutions. Over 10 curated events, participants explored crucial topics related to European Union foreign policy. The insights gathered were summarised into reports, published online and in print, and submitted to the European Union, ensuring that the city’s voices were heard at the intergovernmental level.

I also created the 10-part podcast series ‘Global Europe Unpacked’, which provided in depth analysis on the EU’s contemporary foreign policy challenges.

My Responsibilities Included:

  • Project management: Organised and promoted the events, ensuring broad participation.

  • Content creation: Summarised the discussions into actionable reports submitted to the EU.

  • Podcast production: Scripted, narrated, and edited the podcast episodes, bringing complex EU policy issues to a wider audience.

This project demonstrates my ability to manage multi-channel communications whilst creating engaging content across events, reports, and podcasts.

All publications and podcasts are available here on the commonspace.eu website.
